The Herman Teirlinck building is close to a number of metro stops of the MIVB. Lines 2 and 6 stop at the stops 'Ribaucourt' and 'IJzer-Yser', line 6 also has the stops 'Pannenhuis' and 'Belgica' in the neighborhood. Both lines also serve the stop 'Rogier', where there is also a connection with the STIB trams on the North-South connection of Brussels (premetro). The nearest stop of metro lines 1 and 5 is stop 'Graaf Van Vlaanderen'.

The Herman Teirlinck building is located one kilometer from the NMBS station 'Brussels-North':
- At the main exit, follow the Simon Bolivarlaan straight ahead until the crossroads with the Willebroek quay. Cross the intersection.
- At the Willebroek quay you can take two alternative routes:
- Follow the Dijlestraat straight up to the canal and follow the Akenkaai to the Redersplein.
- or follow the Willebroekkaai on the right until the intersection with Redersplein.
- Follow the Redersplein over the canal to the intersection with the Havenlaan.
The Herman Teirlinck building is located on the other side of the Havenlaan, to the right of Thurn & Taxis.
